Plaid Stars - designed & made by Tracey Browning. Quilted with
Keryn Emmerson block design around sashing squares. Stipple behind nine patch
centres and simple flowerette in between the Ohio star points.
Double wedding ring quilt using oval rulers to ditch the rings and
small stipple inside melons. The central pattern is a Keryn Emmerson's from her Kaleidoscope
pattern pack Made by Michelle of Patches & Pieces quilt shop,
Gawler, SA.

Romance
in Spring - designed, machine pieced, hand & machine appliquéd &
machine quilted by me. Medium stipple on floral background in centre. Continuous
curves in checkerboard on borders using the Serpentine
Ruler. Freehand echoing, flowers, swirls etc in the rest of the border. (Practice
quilt over my holiday break at Christmas!)
Pretty
Baskets - designed, machine pieced, hand & machine appliquéd & machine
quilted by me.( Another holiday project). Small stipple behind appliquéd
blocks, miniature feather in the green check border, using the 1 1/2" curve
on the serpentine ruler to mark the spine. Original
feather design for the outside large floral border to mimic the shape of the
quilt. Pre-marked with blue washout pen freehand before stitching.
  Roses
in the Mist - machine pieced & quilted by me over the Christmas break. All
freehand quilting with Aurifil metallic silver thread without a single
breakage!!! The border is my own version of a floral meander (thanks to
Darlene Epp's pocket guides & inspiration from other machine quilters) The
9-patch's on point have a continuous freehand rose vine down the length of the
quilt. The printed strips have a full feather vine down them following the curve
of the printed vine on the fabric.
 Dove
in the window - machine pieced & quilted by me again (I had lots of fun over
Christmas!!) Using my circle & baptist
fan templates I did a baptist fan in the borders using a full half circle in
the centre of each border & radiating to the corners. A freehand leaf was
used in the floral sashings and the darker florals in the centre. The quilting
really is not easy to see due to the busy fabrics used, but looks good on the
back & in the flesh. Different colours than I usually use so not sure it is
really me!! Good one to give as a present I think!
